This story was okay, it's kind of slow, but the main characters are interesting. Jeff and Cara have a brief meeting encounter ten years prior, there actually was a connection. Ten years later Jeff has been married and divorced with a seven year old son, he's not this strong idealist that he was in the past, he meets Cara again at his son's school and the attraction is still there. Cara is a teacher at Jeff's son's school and the spark between them is still there. Jeff and Cara have a connection between them that supercedes a physical connection, but there's chemistry there. They have their share of interference from outside influences. Jeff is messed up from his ex-wife pulling his strings. What I didn't like about this story is how Jeff's character is portrayed as a weak man who can't take care of himself or his son. The ex had too much say in his life, as she had left him, remarried but still had control over his life. The ending was lacking closure, Cara didn't fight for what she wanted and Jeff never explained what really happened and why.Product details

This book was great, read it a few times.
Good read
Love your storylines Raven Rivers! I get caught up this story and couldn't put it down! Thanks for another fanstatic good read.
The storyline was o.k. Nerdy dad and nice teacher meet after years. A fake romance is made and all feelings are shown from all sides. It was funny at times but the book needs re-edited. I will read more from this author.
Wow, what can I say? This story was nonsense. I mean the lead women was so weak in ways that made me dislike her. And the male lead, if that's what you want to call him. Was downright unlikeable. If I could give this story less than 1 star, I would. I've reed other books from Raven Rivers before and some are excellent. But not this one. Sorry not sorry.
The hero was a little quirky,rich but quirky. His ex-wife was a pain what made me angry was he never stood up to her some of it I could understand because of their son. He was a billionaire when she got that injunction against him he didn't see a lawyer and when she started making other demands he did nothing. The heroine was sweet loved how she sacrificed for her family and how she wanted to do something for her community. I had read the second book previously, loved it.
This was a good romance novel. I thought it was too long but a good read nevertheless. This book contains inspiration, intrigue, drama, heartbreak, betrayal, lack of confidence, and dreams. Trish was a bright college student when she met Jeff. Jeff just became a billionaire who was a little loss with very little direction. Years later, both Jeff and Trish loss their career goals but by chance they meet up again and realize that they can benefit and encourage each other and to achieve their goals and beyond. I will be recommending this book to everyone I know.
